What a night!

On May 13th, we hosted our WISC & WINE event at Vin Room West for a curated conversation with Phoebe Fung, showcasing the depth of the supply chain and creating space for meaningful networking, shared insights, and industry connections.

A very special thank you to Phoebe Fung, Founder of Vin Room and board member of Restaurants Canada, for sharing your story, expertise, and leadership journey with such openness and generosity.

Phoebe Fung brought us into the real world behind food service and hospitality not just the business side, but the realities leaders carry every day.

She shared openly about the things that keep her up at night: people shortages, finding and keeping great employees, building strong relationships with teams, and navigating the constant pressures operators face behind the scenes.

Phoebe also touched on how connected restaurants are to the broader supply chain ecosystem. From sourcing and operations to insurance, staffing, partnerships, and customer experience, every decision is interconnected. What made the evening special was hearing the real side of leadership, the pressure points, the decisions, the resilience, and the human aspect behind running a successful business.It was honest, practical, and exactly the kind of insight our WISC community comes together for.
